The entry of a popular figure into the 2027 presidential bid has come with other alignments, not only among the political class but also the social media handlers. The online battalion of a former leader that had supposedly made a loan transfer to another political camp has already made an about-turn. Returning to the camp their former boss is allegedly said to be in, the “Affordable Bloggers” have left the broad-based camp with reckless abandon. There are questions whether the said leader’s allies in the Cabinet will follow suit or they will be shown the door before their dramatic and noisy exit.

A close relationship between a top politician in the country and a wheeler-dealer from a South African country is reportedly raising eyebrows. The two have in recent months grown quite close, with photos often emerging on social media. The main concern is the business the two are involved in. The controversial businessman has been allegedly accused of high-level corruption and fraud in his home country. In one of the cases, he is accused of doing a shady business with his government worth between $200 million and $600 million. He has also been purportedly arrested over another controversial contract.

An ODM legislator who has in the past been a vocal defender of the party leader is now reportedly sending signals he is about to bolt out as 2027 election nears. The man has since the signing of the cooperation arrangement with government been blowing hot and cold, possibly realizing he stands a lesser chance or reelection under the arrangement. The MP has in the recent past fired salvos at sections of his party and is often commentating of the opposition activities. Corridors understands it is matter of time before the MP supposedly make the huge move.

A governor and the deputy in one of the city counties are said to be at loggerheads. The two leaders, who were often seen together, are now rarely accompanying each other to meetings. Corridors is being told that the differences are purportedly centred on deals in the county, as the deputy feels sidelined and disrespected. Despite holding the second powerful post in the county, the DG has been reportedly relegated to the periphery, the county chief of staff is allegedly the one wilding power.
