President William Ruto will on Monday take his development tour to Migori county.
This is part of his planned three-day visit to the ODM stronghold.
On Sunday, he attended an interdenominational church service in Suna before he went on to commission several projects in the region.
On Monday, he is scheduled to preside over the inspection of Kosir ESP market and unveiling of building at Rongo Comprehensive School.
He will also preside over the launch of the construction of Awendo Animal Health Training Institute at Alara Nyambija in North Sakwa.
Later on in the day, the President will inspect the construction of Oria ESP market and the issuance of a school bus to St. Pius Uriri High School.
He will also preside over the launch of the construction of Muhuru Bay Pier and the inspection of Muhuru Modern Market.
He will also unveil the contractor for Muhuru-Masara Road.
Autopsy on slain Kasipul MP Ong’ondo Were’s body to be conducted today
An autopsy is planned on the body of slain Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Ong’ondo Were this Monday at the Lee Funeral Home ahead of the burial on May 9 in Homa Bay.
Officials in the burial committee said all is set for the plans.
Were was shot and killed on April 30, 2025, along Valley Road near City Mortuary in Nairobi. Investigators want to know how he died.
Four suspects, including a serving police officer, were arrested in connection with the murder on Sunday.
The officer is believed to have pulled the trigger that killed Were.
