Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has met a delegation from Germany spearheaded by the Federal Minister for Special Tasks and head of the Chancellery Wolfgang Schimidt to discuss critical global issues.
During the discussion, the two agreed to enter into a joint bid with Germany to strengthen Technical and Vocational Education Training programs.
The two states entered the agreement in a discussion during the Munich Leaders Conference in Nairobi on Sunday.
Mudavadi said that the agreement to strengthen TVET programs is to underscore the shared commitment to enhance the quality and accessibility of education particularly in TVETs.
"We reached a consensus to sustain our constructive engagements, with a focus on bolstering our TVET programs," Mudavadi said.
Mudavadi said the persistent conflict in Ukraine is an issue of immense significance with consequences not only in the region but for the entire world.
The Prime CS said countries must commit to working together to confront the rising insecurity witnessed in different parts of the world.
He also added that the conflict is a paramount concern for Europe as a whole.
"The ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which carries significant implications for the entire world and of great concern for Europe," he said.
He also added the complexity and magnitude of security concerns have multiplied and broadened globally, which calls for the need to cooperate and work together, in an honest and open manner.
"This meeting is timely and crucial. It has brought together African leaders and our global counterparts to discuss ways and means of creating partnerships for peace in addressing contemporary security challenges," Mudavadi said.
According to Mudavadi, the discussion reaffirmed the commitment to explore avenues for deeper cooperation in various sectors.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary also extended appreciation for the steadfast and friendly ties that exist between Germany and Kenya.
"We acknowledge the warm and enduring relations between Germany and Kenya," Mudavadi said.
