Nawalombotove! Ruto says as he affirms Kenyans trust

President William Ruto has affirmed his trust in Kenyans to fulfil development projects in the country.

Ruto said that he believes Kenyans will give the government time to deliver because they trust him.

While addressing Kenyans at Uhuru Park when he flagged off 47 trucks carrying the Community Health Promoters (CHPs) kits, Ruto said that he loved Kenyans.

"Tuko pamoja na nyinyi, sasa mtaenda kushughulika kila kaunti na kila kijiji, kila mtaa na kila kona ya Nairobi. Mimi naamini ya kwamba nyinyi mtatupatia heshima ya kufaulu kwa sababu tunawaamini. Ulisema kulombotov? Eeh tunawalombotov, tuko hapo," he said.

As Ruto said these, the crowd burst out laughing as they immediately understood what he meant.

Lombotove is a sheng word that originated from youths and is a mixture of English and Swahili meaning I love you.

The President is no guest to Sheng as he has been interacting with youths to promote talents.

Ruto has on several occasions hosted some genge tone musicians at State House to embrace their talents.

Ruto flagged off trucks carrying the Community Health Promoters kits.

He interacted and engaged with the Community Health Promoters.

The President was taken through the work of the CHP as he asked more questions about their work.

He said the move is a significant step towards achieving Universal Health Coverage.

The kits will empower CHPs to make a positive impact on health in their communities.
