Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has offered a job to the woman who nicknamed him 'Riggy G'.

Gachagua had pledged to reward Ivy Chelimo for coining his stylish nickname 'Riggy G'.

During their Monday afternoon meeting in Kajiado, Gachagua announced that she had offered the lady a job at his office.

"This is the lady who replaced my name with 'Riggy G'. I looked for her and rewarded her with a job at my office," Gachagua said as the crowd clapped.

Ivy who was given an opportunity to talk thanked the DP.

"I thank you for the job you offered me today in the morning. Thank you so much," she said.

Gachagua who has become popular with the youth in recent days said he took up the moniker gladly.

The DP has described the moniker as melodious to the ear, adding that it had made life easier for people who would experience difficulties pronouncing his mouthful name.
