Kiambu County announces 56 job vacancies

Applicants have until March 28, 2024 to submit their applications.

Kiambu County has announced 56 public vacancies across 5 county departments.

In an advert seen by The Star, the Public Service Board County Secretary said the qualified applicants have until  March 28, 2024, to submit their applications.

The County is seeking to employ five Chief Officers for Administration, Supply Chain Management and Internal Audit, Livestock, Veterinary Services and Fisheries, Cooperative Development, and Water.

The Department for County Attorney is seeking to hire a Director of Legal Services and Legislative Drafting and a deputy director for Litigation and Prosecution office.

The Roads, Transport and Public Works and Utilities have two available jobs for positions of  Director Transport and Deputy Director Utilities.

The Revenue, ICT, Supply, Chain Management and Internal Audit are seeking to hire Chief of  Supply Chain Management officers (10 posts), 14 Senior Supply Chain management officers (14 posts), five Supply Chain Management Officers I 95 posts), Assistant Director of Internal Audit (1 post) Principal Internal Auditor (2 posts) and Internal Audit Officer (8 posts).

The Office of Land, Housing, Physical Planning and Municipalities and Urban is seeking to hire a Municipal Manager.

"All applicants should submit their application cover letter together with copies of their detailed curriculum vitae with names, address and telephone contacts of three referees, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, national identity card or passport and any other supporting documents," part of the statement read.

The county noted that the applications should be written in a letter and addressed to the Secretary of the  Public Service Board County Government of Kiambu.

"The full details including job descriptions, mode of application, duties and responsibilities of the positions may be obtained from the County Government of Kiambu website."

Applicants were also cautioned on cases of fraud that the service doesn't condone.

"The Board and the County Government of Kiambu is committed to zero tolerance to corruption. We caution applicants and their families not to fall victim to fraudsters."
