Ministry of Education announces 2,000 Degree, Diploma jobs

Qualified persons have until March 19, to submit their applications.

The Ministry of Education has announced 2,000 job openings in Vocational and Technical Training.

In a notice seen by the Star, the trainers who will be under the State Department for Vocational and Technical Training will be distributed in various institutions across the country.

"Applications are invited from qualified Degree, Higher National Diploma and Diploma holders for the positions of Vocational and Technical Trainers," the notice reads in part.

The ministry seeks to hire 1,313 Degree and Higher Diploma holders and 687 Diploma holder trainers.

The jobs will be spread in the 47 counties.

According to the Public Service Commission, details of the jobs and mode of application can be accessed on the PSC website www.publicservice.go.ke.

"Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications directly to the institutions where vacancies exist by filling ONE (1) PSC 2 (Revised2016) application form and attaching copies of National ID card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and any other testimonials to reach the respective Boards/Councils on or before March 19, 2024 (Latest 5. 00p.m East African Time)."

In the distribution, Kakamega will get the highest allocation at 101, followed by Nairobi with 96, Bungoma 88, Meru 86 and Uasin Gishu 83.

Counties that will receive the least number of trainers include Mandera and Tana River which will get 17 trainers each, Samburu and Marsabit 16 each, Wajir 15, West Pokot 9, while Isiolo and Lamu counties will get five each.
