Sixyears ago Bradley Broder was in Northern Kenya and he met awoman who was on her death bed. Her dying wish was that Bradley ensure that her daughtermade it through high school. He went back home and his fund raisingefforts were so successful that he raised so much money that he and histeam sent more Kenyan children to school.
Fastforward to 2012 and over 1000 children have already benefited fromKenya Education Fund as it is now called. 500 children from all walksof life from all corners of the country are currently benefiting fromthe fund as it is.
On Monday the fund was introduced to the Kenyan public with manyformer alumni of the fund in attendance at The Tribe Hotel inNairobi's Gigiri area. Many of the beneficiaries have gone on to manyinstitutions of higher learn both public and private. The guest ofhonour at the event was Laisamis Constituency MPJoseph Lekuton.
The fund has been supported by manyorganisations over the last few years and this evening saw ISP AccessKenya and Kenyan gospel megastar Julius Otieno aka Juliani's Kama Si Sisi initiative.The emceeing duties were performed by the XFM breakfast show hostFareed Khimani.
