Ena Coach chief executive officer Richard Mogire has given assurance that all passengers in a bus that burst into flames have arrived safely at their destination.

Mogire, while explaining what caused the bus to burst into flames, said an emergency bus was brought and took all the 48 passengers to Migori.

He said it all started with a tire burst.

"At approximately 2 am this morning, while en route from Nairobi to Migori with 48 passengers on board our bus experienced a front tire burst while ascending the hill after Suswa," Mogire said.

He said the driver of the bus promptly stopped the bus to assess the situation, only to discover that the bus had caught fire.

Upon discovery that the bus had caught fire, the driver and the bus crew immediately led the evacuation of all passengers from the burning bus.

"We are relieved to inform you that no casualties or injuries were reported during this incident," Mogire said.

"To minimize any inconvenience caused to our passengers, we immediately dispatched a rescue bus to the scene."

"At Ena Coach, we remain committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for your understanding and support during this time,"Mogire said.
