He said taxi business came to a stand still yesterday when the team travelled to Kisii. He said they had paid the kisii medicineman Sh30,000 for his services.
The chairman added that the witchdoctor was able to identify to them the killers of the taxi operator. The witchdoctor pointed to the man standing at a road terminal in Naivasha.
He added that the witchdoctor had commanded the killers to stay where they were and not to move until they are arrested. “When we paid the amount which we had contributed, the witchdoctor showed us through a mirror the three men and the bike they had stolen standing at a terminal in Naivasha. "He also assured us that he has 'tied' them with his magic and they will not move until they are apprehended,” he said. He added that they called on their colleagues back home and informed them of the good news.
Immediately the got the news, 200 taxi operators hired a matatu and headed to Naivasha to recover the motorbike. He said, however, their plans were thwarted by Tigoni police who called the Naivasha police and advised them to block the way.
The chairman said the 200 taxi operators were intercepted at Mai Mahiu and told to go back or be arrested and charged with causing chaos. “We spent two hours arguing and had no choice but to return to Limuru. The police officers in Naivasha and Limuru seem to know something we don't. We appeal to Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere to intervene,” he said.
