The Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi on Thursday hosted Senior Spiritual Fathers for a monthly prayer meeting at the National Prayer Altar in Karen, Nairobi.
Pastor Dorcas said together with other clergy, they prayed for the nation, government, economy and the 47 counties.
They also said a prayer for the Church, families and marriages, accidents, the rains, the health sector and addictions.
Pastor Dorcas said that at the moment, the nation is experiencing many challenges.
"God may not come down in the form of thunder or a burning bush like He did in the Scriptures. But we, as the likeness of God, are the face, hands, and feet to reach the vulnerable in our country through the empowerment of the Spirit of God," she said.
Pastor Dorcas called on Kenyans to reach out to all whether in addiction, living on the streets, disabled or widowed.
She added: "Acts 10:15, 28 reminds us. What God has made clean, do not call common.”…but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean."
Leaders present were Archbishops Arthur Kitonga and Gerry Kibarabara; Bishops Pius Muiru, Mophat Kilioba, Stephen Gachengo, Patrick Mungai, Samuel Njiriri, Mathew Monde, John Maingi Kahihu, Michael Chege and Samuel Chege.
Others were Reverend Judy Mbugua, Charles Munywoki, Lily Macharia and Esther Nduta Chege.
Evangelists Grace Mwai, Pastors Boniface Mukami, and Samuel Karega were also present.
