Gor Mahia head coach Jonathan McKinstry has pledged an entertaining encounter against Kenyan Premier League newbies Murang'a Seal at St. Sebastian Park on Saturday.

The record Kenyan champions will go full throttle for maximum points in the KPL Round of 28 clash as they zealously seek to bolster their lofty aspirations for a historic 21st title.

Gor currently sit pretty at the apex of the topflight log with 57 points, nine better than their closest challengers Kenya Police.

McKinstry said he expects a tough challenge from the top-tier newbies who proved to be a hard nut to crack in the preceding leg given their cautious approach to the game.

"We played them at Kasarani in the first leg and they largely packed the bus, sat very deep, and made it very difficult for us. We were very frustrated not to win the game. I think we did more than enough to deserve all three points but that's the nature of football. You don't always get what you want," McKinstry stated.

"It will be interesting to see because in front of their fans and own venue, one may expect them not to defend so deep and they might come out and play a little bit more but we got to be prepared for both eventualities," he added.

The Irish gaffer said they had adopted a two-throng approach in training to clip the wings of their opponents in the crunch away tie.

"If they come out and play, we know there will be a lot of space that we can utilise but if they decide to sit deep as they did in the first leg, then we have to use the ball well.  We must get our rotations correct and have a perfect finishing because we won't have a lot of touches in and around the box."

"We've got to prepare for that sort of dual approach because we don't know exactly what they'll do. But we are expecting an entertaining game," McKinstry stated.

McKinstry said he was not worried at all about the ongoing downpour that has rendered most playing surfaces in the country unusable.

"A lot of pitches in Kenya have suffered a lot due to the ongoing rain but we know the Murang'a home pitch is a very good surface.

"It will be interesting because Murang'a generally likes to play football. You can understand because of their home venue which has a good pitch for playing football," McKinstry remarked.

He called upon the ardent K'Ogalo fans to throng the stands of St. Sebastian Park and roar the record Kenyan champions to victory.

"I just encourage our supporters to come out in large numbers to attend what will be a very entertaining game," he concluded.
