President William Ruto has opened the African Heads of State and Government session at the International Development Association (IDA21) summit in Nairobi.

The Summit which is being held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre brings together leaders from over 20 African countries.

Some of the leaders arrived on Sunday, while others arrived on Monday morning.

The Summit began on Sunday with a with a meeting of Africa’s Finance Ministers from IDA Member States.

The Summit is being co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and the World Bank.
