Okutoyi partners India's Bhasin to win doubles at World Tour

Angela Okutoyi and her Indian partner Smiriti Bhasin clinched the doubles category of the women's World Tennis Tour on Saturday at the Karen Country club.

They defeated Shamarda Badu of India and Sabastiani Leon of USA 6-3, 7-5 in a tough encounter.

Okutoyi and her partner dominated the opening set but were made to fight in the second and thus had to dig deep to carry the day.

Okutoyi, who had lost the singles final last week to Emily Seibold of Germany, was delighted to win the doubles category.

Asumwa lost to Celine Simunyu of Ireland 3-6,6-2, 6-0 as Muthoni lost to Sravaya Chikalapudi of India 6-0,6-0.
