The Benjamin Ayimba rugby legacy tournament in Masaku, received a shot in the arm with sh. 1.2 million sponsorship from the Kenya Airports Authority.

The three-day event slated for April 7-9, is expected to attract a total of 20 teams according to organisers. 

‘We are keen on supporting sports and nurturing talents that we are endowed with to be able to compete and market our country on the global stage," Jack Bwana, KAA's general manager marketing  and business development said.

He continued: "We are proud to be associated with this tournament that honors the late rugby icon and legend Benjamin Ayimba because of what he achieved for Kenya."

‘"This is a timely boost to our efforts to be able to deliver a top class tournament in remembrance of our departed brother and also continue to grow the game of rugby in the country."
