A dominant Kenya Lionesses side made light work of Uganda to win the Africa Cup Pool 'B' tournament in Kampala on Wednesday.

The Kenyan girls charges heeded their tactician's call as they obliterated the hosts by three unanswered tries in a scrappy contest.

The visitors controlled possession and territory and it came as no surprise when Maria Goretti crossed the whitewash to score the opening try.

Lionesses continued with the ascendancy, bullying the Ugandans in contact and in the forward exchanges and Goretti  slotted home a penalty to widen the visitors advantage to 8-0 at the half-hour mark.

The Ugandans regrouped and finished the half strongly but a resolute Kenyan defence held firm as the visitors led 8-0 at the break.

On resumption, flyhalf Grace Adhiambo continued Kenya's dominance with a well-taken penalty to stretch the lead to 11-0. Charlotte Mudoola scored the sole points for the hosts after the Kenyan pack was caught offside for an 11-3 lead.

The Lionesses' pressure was relentless and it bore fruit midway through the half when Christabel Lindo crashed over the line to extend the lead to 16-3 . Rose Otieno then put the icing on the cake in the closing minutes with a well-taken try to seal the win for the visitors.
