He confirmed that Victor Bodies and James Mwangi had moved to rivals Ulinzi Warriors while Moses Wanjara, Dan Omondi and Victor Ochieng have joined Equity Bank. He said towering Frank Makori and Arour Ramadan have joined Ethiopian outfits while Frank Mayoti had gone to South Sudan.

“They are free to move to teams of their choice. Some of them have job offers and that’s good for them,” observed Kiki, adding, he will have to go back to the drawing board.

KPA hosted newly promoted Emyba at their Makande Welfare Hall in Mombasa over the weekend grinding out a hard-fought 87-81 victory.

In that premier league fixture, Kiki was forced to bring back Nairobi-based Antony Okello and Joseph Ouma to fill the void left by those who left. He revealed that he is looking for more players though they aren’t many in the market.

Apart from Valentine Otula, he has no post player which is his main concern. Team manager Christopher Ogutu said they will soldier on with the players they have as they look around to strengthen the roster.

“ We are working on the team roster. In a week or so, we will let you know which direction we are moving. The situation is not that bad,” he noted. Equity Bank team manager Godfrey Abuya remained upbeat that with the calibre of signings, the bankers should challenge for the title.

“It is true I have bagged three vital players that I believe will help us,” said Abuya who is also in pursuit of an international star currently in the country.
