Karen Country Golf Club is currently pregnant with expectations ahead of the final leg of the Johnnie Walker Golf series, dubbed Road to Gleneagles set for this Friday.

The event, which culminates into a fully-paid trip to the Gleneagles Golf Scout in England,  has seen over 3,000 golfers participating across 18 golf clubs in the country.

East Africa Breweries Limited’s  Josephine Katambo, said the tournament is a perfect opportunity for top golfers to take their game to the next level.

"We are delighted to be holding our Grand Finale this Friday as a culmination of what has been a very successful golf series that kicked off last year. With top amateur players from across the country set to battle it out and the stakes being high, we can expect nothing but the very best of what the series has had to offer, "Katambo said.

She said many upcoming golfers from the country have received the chance to display their talents on a worldwide platform and are determined to take the same to an international level.

"We, therefore, look forward to seeing top golf from all participating golfers as we crown the ultimate winner who will be heading to Gleneagles. This is part of our commitment as a brand to support the growth and development of the sport of golf in the country which has shown has great potential,” she said.

Like in the qualifying rounds in the series, the golfers will compete in the tournament’s four-ball Stableford format during the Grand Finale.

The Karen course which is one of the most pristine is currently in great condition, with some high scores expected from the golfers.
