A titanic battle is expected in the second edition of the Football Kenya Federation FKF Women's Cup semi-final matches on May 31 at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology, Nakuru.

The first match that pits Nakuru City Queens against Kibera Soccer Ladies serves off at 12 pm before Kisumu All Starlets entertains Ulinzi Starlets at 3 pm in the double header affair.

Both Nakuru and Ulinzi reached the last four in the inaugural competition in 2021, that was eventually won by the soldiers at the ASK grounds, Nakuru.

Ulinzi are favourites to retain the title in the absence of perennial rivals Vihiga Queens and Gaspo Women. The duo was eliminated in the round of 16 by giant-killers Kisped Queens and Nakruru respectively.

Ulinzi, coached by Joseph Mwanza, peaked up form towards the end of the season after registering five straight wins. The team was also ruthless on their way to the semifinals and boast the experience and quality to grind out results against all odds.

Nakuru team manager Benard Esitoko in a past interview said his charges will play their hearts out to win the only trophy left after giving up on the league title.
