Four Kenyans head to Qatar Fifa World cup

Four Kenyan headed for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar are entusuatic of the once-in-a-life-time opportunity.

The quartet will head for the Middle Eastern country after clinching the tickets during a promotion by beverage maker Coca Cola.

The four are Veronica Maweu from Kayole, Duncan Wamalwa (Meru), William Maweru (Mombasa) and Wendy Cherop (Dagoreti).

“It will be such an honour to watch the Fifa World Cup live and have the pleasure to see some of my favourite players in person,” Wamalwa said.

Wamalwa, who supports Senegal, said this is a lifetime opportunity for any football lover.

“Senegal is one of the five African countries and I’m looking forward to  watching them play at the World Cup them play,” he said.

Maweru said he hopes his team, Portugal, will win the World Cup.

“This will be my first time going to Qatar and I cannot wait for my flight this afternoon,” Maweru said.
