Nairobi City Stars will put their unbeaten run in the National Super League on the line when they take on rejuvenated Murang'a Seal at Hope Centre.

The second tier league continues to gather steam with nine matches scheduled across the country this afternoon. Seal's coach David Mahira said his charges were motivated to take on the daunting challenge of the runaway league leaders.

My players are fired up. We peaked a little bit late hence our current standing in the league. But facing the team that is top of the table at their own backyard motivates us greatly,” said Mahira.

“We want to show everyone we are in the division on merit by beating the current best team in the league,” he added.  Seal, who are seventh in the table with 212 points, will have a fully fit squad to choose from with Marcos Jairo, Kevin Gazza and John Kamau all fit after shaking off niggling injuries.

City Stars top the league with 36 points from 14 matches. Their invincibility was tested to the limit on Thursday against Ushuru and face a similar challenge this afternoon.

The taxmen will have the opportunity to build upon the creditable draw when they host Coast Stima. Second-placed Nairobi Stima must negotiate a tricky fixture away at Gusii Stadium where Shabana lie in wait.
