New Wazito coach Fred Ambani has tipped Tusker loanee Amos Asembeka to fill in the shoes of unavailable midfielder Teddy Osok when they take on Kangemi All-Stars today at Camp Toyoyo. Wazito will miss the services of Osok who has five goals to his name.

Osok left with the National Under-23 team, Emerging Stars for the Olympic qualifier away to Sudan and Ambani has cast his hopes on Asembeka to fill in the void left by the former Sofapaka man.

Wazito who are placed second on the log with 44 points will be seeking to topple leaders Ushuru who have a similar tally pegged on a healthier goal difference. Ambani has, however, cautioned his charges against underrating the second from the bottom-placed team. Ambani, who will be taking charge in his second match with the club since taking over from the axed Mohammed Mchulla, said Kangemi will be equally challenging for the three points and should not be approached as underdogs.

He said: “We will not miss Osok much in the midfielder as Asembeka is equal to the task. Osok has been outstanding, scoring five goals for us but we have depth and competition for starting roles. Both teams will be coming for the three points and I want to caution my boys to give Kangemi the respect they deserve.”
