Kenya Ports Authority teams are in Nairobi for key matches that will see them push closer to the summit of the Kenya Basketball League.

The ports men, who are fourth on the table with 33 from 17 games, will face off against Kenyatta University Pirates at the United States International University courts on Saturday.

They return to action 24 hours later to face off with league leaders Ulinzi Warriors at Ulinzi Sports Complex in Langata.

Kenyatta University,  who are ninth with 27 points, have their eyes set on an upset as they face off against two of the country's top teams.

The campus lads coach Caleb Osewe is aware of the tough task ahead as they also play Equity Bank Dumas. However, he said the two are beatable.

"Since our minds are set for playoffs, I think the team is well prepared to carry the day on both days or notch a win this weekend," he said.

KPA women will introduce Nigerian star Ifunaya Okoro to the city as they play two easy fixtures against Kenyatta University Oryx and Storms.

The unbeaten porters are second behind leaders Equity Bank Hawks with 34 points and will move to the top if they win two of their matches.

Tenth-placed Africa Nazarene University (ANU) Wolfpacks play Eldonets in a match they will give their all to pull away from the base.

On Sunday, relegation threatened Eagle Wings will tackle Kenyatta University Oryx in what should be a closely watched encounter.

Third-placed ANU Wolfpacks play Strathmore University who are third on 34 points in what is shaping up as a battle royale.
