Reigning champions Kenya Ports Authority thrashed Vijana Queens 74-29 to reach the semi finals of the FIBA Africa Zone Five Women Championship in a match played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium Dar-es- Salaam, Tanzania.

The porters showed why they are not ready to be called the ex-champions, dominating the game from start.

They took a 22-10 first quarter advantage mainly on first quarter efforts by Medina Okot as they took  a 22-10 edge in the first quarter and added another 12-10 in the second.

In the second half, KPA rampaged to a 24-4 cushion before finishing the rout with another strong 18-5 difference.

Leading the porters scoring chart was Britney Nicole and Medina Okot who posted 12 points each.
