After an impressive third-place finish at Sunday’s Standard Chartered marathon 10km race, Bravin Kiprop is looking to make his debut in the half marathon at the annual Nakuru City Classic set for November 27.

On Sunday, Kiprop timed 31:55 to finish third behind winner Patrick Mosin (31:39) and Geoffrey Kipchumba (31:41).

He said he is now keen on registering a second win this year after his triumph at the Kapsowar 10km road race in September.

He observed that despite this being his first 21k race, his eyes are fixed on the title.

The 2021 Edo City Festival 10k winner added that he has done sufficient training ahead of the Nakuru race.

“I’m not sure what to expect since I have never run a 21km race but I’m optimistic of a good performance,” Kiprop said.

This will be his fourth race this year. Apart from Kapsowar and Stanchart races, the 25-year-old Elgeyo Marakwet runner also took part in the Kericho cross country championships, where finished third in 29:45 behind winner Michael Kibet (29:40) and Edwin Bett (29:45).
