ABOUT 10, 000 mourners are expected to grace the burial of Cord leader Raila Odinga's son Fidel.
Siaya Deputy Governor Ouma Onyango who is the burial committee chairman said preparations for the funeral have been completed.
"We will ensure Fidel is accorded a befitting send off," he said.
Onyango said several bulls and chicken will be slaughtered to feed mourners.
Elders from Kang'o Ka Jaramogi village have identified the spot where Fidel will be buried on Saturday.
Onyango said Fidel's body will spend Friday night at Raila's Opoda home for a vigil before it is moved to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University grounds for funeral services on Saturday.
Separately, former ODM secretary general Prof Anyang Nyong’o has asked the youth to ensure Fidel is accorded a decent send off.
“I appeal to Fidel’s age mates to receive visitors well during the ceremony and mourn Fidel with dignity,” he said.
Nyong’o was speaking yesteday during a morning talk show on a local FM radio station.
He said any misconduct during the funeral service will reflect badly on the youth.
