Schools, clubs enlist for Kiambu Level II swimming championships

Kiambu County Executive committee Member Sports Osman Korane is expected to preside over the exercise.

Over 30 schools and clubs have confirmed participation at the Kiambu Level II swimming championship slated for Saturday at Braeburn School.

Potterhouse Runda, Woodcreek School, Braeburn and upcoming Super Marlins club are among those who have registered for the day-long championships.

Kenya Swimming Federation safety and security officer in Kiambu Jose Ndungu said: "We have put in place all strict measures to ensure the event is a success as we keep pushing for the growth of the game in the area."

"I have been going round public schools and sensitising them about the sport and those efforts have paid off so far since, as we speak, the interest is growing."
