Ten teams are expected to participate in the E-sport Virtual games slated for this Saturday.
This will be the second tournament of the series, which has been endorsed by the E-Sports Kenya Federation.
Among teams entered for the competition are— OoliskiaWapi, Titans, Morphius Assassins, TExpubg, Tactical Execution, Bangz and LA.
Kaizens won the opening tournament a fortnight ago, taking home Sh20,000 while Titans were second, bagging Sh15,000. Bangz completed the podium pocketing Sh10,000.
Virtual games director and former Rugby 7's national coach Benjamin Ayimba said the platform is a gateway that facilitates gamers to play tournaments online in a seamless manner.
"The main aim is to develop skills in the region and reward gamers in Kenya and Africa at large. The mission is to enrich the lives of gamers and amplify experiences designed to ignite their passion," added Ayimba.
Ayimba observed that E-Sports is growing fast. “It's a sport that is growing without young people and we hope more youngsters will soon embrace the sport,” added Ayimba.
