Egypt men got a bye by virtue of being the defending champions and the remaining nations will muscle for one slot up for grabs ahead of the African bonanza set for between August 23 to September 3 in Rabat, Morocco.

Kenya Handball Federation (KHF)  fixtures secretary, Charles Omondi said all the logistics are in place and they hope to unveil the provisional squads and technical bench to start training either at Kaloleni or Nyayo Stadium.

The six male teams include champions National Cereals and Produce Board, Strathmore University, Kenya Defence Forces, Black Mamba, Rangers and Mt Kenya University-Thika.
