• Sabala Festival celebrates the Nubian culture, food, attire and music
The Nubian Sabala Festival is coming back on December 24 at the KICC.
The Sabala Festival was previously held annually in both Kenya and Uganda since 2006.
The festival celebrates Nubian culture, food and attire. It will feature music performances from various Nubians bands across East Africa.
Grandpa Dynamics CEO Yusuf Noah said the festival was on a break due to the global pandemic.
After a vigorous effort in finding this year's Sabala Festival ambassador, the committee settled on Ms Amisa Ibrahim as the face of the event after conducting more than 300 interviews.
Her knowledge of the Nubian culture and history together with her eloquence made her stand out among the other contestants.
The event is organised by the Nubian Nation and Noah's Grandpa Dynamics.
