KFC unveils winners of 2021 Kalasha Awards

The Kenya Films Commission yesterday announced the winners of the 2021 Kalasha International Film and TV awards.

Officiating the gala event at Safari Park Hotel, the Kenya Film Commission(KFC) CEO Timothy Owase lauded all the nominees for their individual and collective efforts towards building a thriving art scene through either creating films or participating in them.

“Our key mandate as a commission is to develop a vibrant local film and television industry, which in turn creates jobs and wealth in our country. In the past one year, we have had some exciting activities to stimulate growth in this industry,” Owase said.

In attendance was Jerome Ochieng’ – Principal Secretary, State Department of Innovation, Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs who commended the Kenya Film Commission for their steadfast commitment towards supporting the industry.

“The National Government, through my Ministry, is keen on promoting the Kenyan film industry through a supportive policy framework,” he said.
