Gospel singer Daddy Owen will hold a music event to promote peace as Kenya heads to the election.
Speaking to Word Is, Daddy Owen said he aims to be a culture-shaping icon, which he will do through his musical talent.
"The event is happening on Sunday in Eldoret and we will be preaching peace to our youth," he said.
"We are not going to tell them not to vote, but to spread the word of maintaining peace."
Daddy Owen said he will speak the language of the youth by involving them in the event.
"This event will major on the talent in Eldoret and other towns."
The highlight will be a singing competition whose winner will get a recording deal with Big Afrique recording studio and be mentored by Daddy Owen.
"We will have a dance competition and Sh50k is up for grabs. Local leaders will attend to speak about peace," he said.
Gospel singer Guardian Angel, Size 8 and Rufftone will perform.
