Fans waiting for Nigerian singer Omah Lay to perform at the Ngong Racecourse this weekend will have to wait at least a month longer.

The 'Understand' hitmaker's debut Kenyan concert was cancelled after the government suspended all public gatherings and in-person meetings.

In an Instagram post, event organisers said they will give final dates later.

"We have taken the difficult decision to push forward the Pizza and Wine Festival - Kitenge Edition, initially scheduled for August 7, to October 2021," they said.

"We are closely monitoring the situation and are working diligently to confirm the new dates. We will provide periodic updates to keep you abreast of all developments."

They will use the delay to curate a safer and better experience for the attendees.
