Gospel artiste Size 8 has opened up about the struggles in her pregnancy journey.

The singer gave birth to her second child a few days ago, and during her baby shower, she cried, leaving her friends emotional.

Speaking on her vlog, Size 8 said, "Don’t take baby showers for granted. Learn to appreciate everything in life. For me, this pregnancy getting here (last trimester) is a miracle. I’ve almost died several times. It doesn’t matter if you have billions of money, you can’t enjoy what you have."

She narrated how the pregnancy took a toll on her, a few months after she suffered a miscarriage.

"I panicked and asked my husband (DJ Mo): The other pregnancy miscarried, what if this also terminates? So we rushed to the hospital and I was given some medication," she said.

"Three weeks later, I got a very major pressure attack, and after some time, it went down a bit. Again, I started feeling some weird pains in my uterus."

Size 8 went back to hospital, fearing the worst. "I wondered, kwani I am having a miscarriage? After some tests, they found out that I had fibroids. I was very devastated."

She explained how her blood pressure rose high after she was diagnosed with the condition.

"I started feeling dizzy and having headaches. I felt like air was not getting into my head. At some point, I also started getting convulsions and experiencing minor strokes, where my left side was completely paralysed," she said.

She was rushed to hospital because she couldn't walk.

"The doctor did a few checkups on me and I was put on oxygen and neuron medication. Apparently my neurons were what was causing convulsions," Size 8 said.

"At around 3am, the foetus rate went high again and there was an emergency to try and get the rate down."

She said at 34 weeks pregnant, the heart rate of the baby was above 180.

"That is when they decided to deliver my baby via CS. My concern was whether the baby was ok."

DJ Mo and Size 8 previously lost their unborn second child. While speaking about it, the emotional mother of two said, "It was really bad, life-shaking."
