Former reality star and singer Linda Muthama has started a foundation to help women with complications during childbirth. Linda has named it after her daughter Laika.
It is through the birth of her daughter that Linda understood the challenges that women undergo during childbirth. She is using her music and network to help Kenyan woman by organising a performance by four top female acts to raise funds that will help women with complications during childbirth and to build awareness of the Laika Foundation.
"The need for support in this area cannot be ignored since the woman gives life to the family, the country, the nation and to the world," Linda said in the release.
The show dubbed Pandora's box will see Linda joined on stage by Karen Lucas, Ritah Khatushi and Neema Ntalel on May 30 at the Michael Joseph Center, Safaricom House Nairobi. Gate charges are Sh2,000.
