Nigerian soul singer Emmanuel Bezhiwa Idakula who goes by the stage name Bez held his first ever concert in Nairobi during the inaugural Tusker Malt Lager Club 100 last week.

Bez told Word Is that his name, Bezhiwa, means, “first man in the land” and “as Africans our aim should be to build our continent by supporting the arts because everywhere I go, you will hear that Africa is the next frontier.”

He spent, Friday afternoon at the National Park where he visited the animal orphanage. Another first for him. He signed an endorsement agreement to promote Kenyan Tourism facilitated by KTB's regional manager, Alex Tunoi.

Last year Bez was in Kenya and recorded a single featuring Sarah Mitaru titled Keep Me From You. Bez loves Nameless and Wyre’s music and hopes that a “collaboration would help in sharing a fanbase.”

His performance at the TML Club 100 will open the door to other similar shows that will seek to showcase the best of African talent. Sarah Mitaru also performed at the National Museum gig.
