Family and friends of Mary Mukiri, the late wife of 'Machachari' director Mburu Kimani, this week held a burial service for her at PCEA Mega Church in Kiambu.

Mary, a mother of four, lost her battle with liver cancer on Tuesday night, while undergoing treatment at Texas Cancer Centre on Mbagathi Way, Nairobi.

Mary's 10-year-old child was an actor in the recently concluded children's show 'Machachari'. Mary worked passionately as a farmer and had lately began engaging in catering services for several film and TV production units.

She was a strong Christian who fellowshiped at PCEA Mega Church in Kiambu.
