On Friday last week, media and PR practitioners launched a tree planting initiative at the Starehe Boys Centre in conjunction with the Kenya Forest Service.
The initiative aims to conserve the environment and create a sustainable tree planting culture. It aims to have 100,000 trees planted in Nairobi county, in both public and private spaces, between the 2017 and 2018 World Environment Day celebrations.
Key personalities present included KFS chief corporate officer Charles Ngunjiri and forester Charles Utolo. Others were Kenya Water Towers Agency chairperson
