What she thought was a simple family lunch at the Taste of China restaurant in Westlands, Nairobi, turned out to be a surprise birthday get together for Africolour Labs director Amarjeet Chana. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday.
Family and friends gathered to pay homage to family matriarch Ambi as she is so fondly referred to. After the laughter-filled dinner, Ambi cut a lovely two-tier red velvet cake from Nav Phull’s Get Baked.
Ambi is the mother of East FM presenter Kamal Kaur.
