A guide for those who would wish to engage in litigation to protect the public interest was launched at the Stanley Hotel in Nairobi last Friday evening. The publication was developed by the Katiba Institute, Kenyans for Peace with Truth & Justice and Africog.

The new document can help shine a light on the neglected issues of violence against women, child abuse, food insecurity, deaths from preventable diseases and extreme poverty among others.

In attendance were constitutional lawyer Yash Pal Ghai, Katiba Institute's Waikwa Wanyoike and Gladwell Otieno, International Commission of Jurists executive director George Kegoro and United Nations special rapporteur Maina Kiai.
