Ingredients

  • 3 skinless salmon fillets
  • Olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Unsalted butter
  • ½ tsp honey
  • Lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Remove salmon fillets from the refrigerator and allow them to rest at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Step 2

To prepare the garlic lemon butter sauce, melt 1 tsp of butter over medium heat. Then add garlic and sauté until lightly golden brown, about 1 - 2 minutes. Before adding the lemon juice.

Step 3

Let the sauce simmer until it has reduced by half then stir in butter and honey and whisk until combined, set sauce aside.

Step 4

Using paper towels, pat dry the salmon fillets before seasoning both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 5

Heat olive oil in a pan, over medium heat, then add the salmon. Cook each side for 3 minutes until golden brown.

Step 6

Plate the salmon and drizzle each serving with butter sauce set aside.

Garnish with lemon slices if desired. Serve immediately with rice and salad.
