A plantain is generally larger than a banana. A mature plantain is dry and ripe, whereas banana is usually slippery.

Ingredients

  • 3 plantains
  • Vegetable or olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Peel and chop plantain diagonally.

Step 2

Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan then add plantains and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Step 3

Once done, leave plantain to soak on a paper towel and serve as desired.

You can serve them with ketchup, beans or vegetables.
