An Oreo is an American cookie which got its name from the French meaning "gold".

This is supposedly the color of the original packaging. 

A milkshake is a sweet drink made by blending milk, ice cream, and flavorings or sweeteners in this case we use Oreo cookies.

Today, we will be making an Oreo milkshake, an easy yet tasty home recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream or chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • Oreo cookies, plus several more for garnish
  • Chocolate syrup, for garnish
You can use the coated or original Oreo

Preparation

Step 1

Blend the ice cream, milk and Oreo cookies for 3 minutes.

Step 2

Drizzle chocolate syrup or desired syrup on the inside of a glass.  

Step 3

Pour the milkshake in the glass and top it off with an Oreo

Step 4

Optional: Top off with whipped cream and serve on a hot day
