Macaroni and cheese is a dish that originates from Northern Europe and dates back in the 17th century.

Before it was brought to the modern day America, this dish was made as a casserole in England, that believers used to prepare and bring to the church for thanksgiving and sharing, then it was known as macaroni pudding.

In less than 30 minutes, this delicious dish, will be ready on your plate for you to devour.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp ground mustard
  • 5 cups milk
  • 5 cups shredded cheddar
  • Pasta has shape of elbows, shells, or other tubular shape.
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter
  • 6 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a large sufuria, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the flour, (which helps to thicken) and stir for a minute.

Step 2

Add water to the mixture until the flour smoothens then gradually add milk until it begins to thicken.

Step 3

Add in the desired seasoning (mustard, salt) and cheese. Continue stirring until all the cheese melts, then add in the uncooked pasta.

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Remove from heat, stir the mixture and season with salt or pepper if needed.

Step 5

Serve immediately and enjoy with chicken or steak, and a cold glass of juice.
