Keeping your hair short allows you to explore and change your style at any time.

The normal haircut is boring for both genders, however. This calls for new techniques to sex it up.

One style is shaving the sides and leaving longer hair at the front. This is suitable for both men and women.

However, men are usually limited to combing their hair, leaving it neat to look presentable.

Medium-bald fades is a more presentable and official look for men that is balanced and sophisticated.

It shines the spotlight on your beard yet lets you maintain some hair up top.

For this style, maintaining the black colour for your hair is more elegant and keeps the fade a bit cleaner.

But men who are in the entertainment industry are free to have rugged hair, dye it or put on dreadlocks or baby locks.

On the other hand, women can play around with dye, rugged hair, mini dreadlocks, plait braids, or even relax the hair.

The hair on the sides and back is cut as close as possible with a machine or clippers.

Then, it “fades” up to the top of the head.

On the sides, you can draw cuts of different designs like the letter V, the Adidas logo, or name initials.

You can also apply black dye or relax the hair on the sides that is easy to maintain.

Curly hair should be longer on top with nothing at the sides or shorter all over with faded edges.

The more curls you have, the lower the fade, which makes this look elegant.

Rugged hair tends to look like a shorter version of the long dreadlocks. But for this style, most rugged hair is easy and can be undone when need be.

Rugged hair looks shaggy and is mostly done by combining wax, gel and put in a dryer. This helps to achieve tougher rugged hair.

Women have another choice of plaiting twists or braids on the longer hair at the front.

The faded side can then be relaxed and waved with a brush, or you could apply black dye.

Various shades of dye are applicable for both men and women, but it all depends on one’s preference and at times skin colour.
