- Jubilee offices in Nakuru has been a beehive of activities since the President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the party's rejuvenation exercise.
- Among those who joined Jubilee is 28-year-old former journalist Kelvin Migongo who is vying for Nakuru senators seat.
Jubilee Party Nakuru branch chairperson James Karimi has urged the leadership to facilitate regional offices, which are facing a cash crunch.
Karimi said most regional offices have been facing money problems forcing them to dig deeper into their pockets to operate.
"We urge the Jubilee head office to facilitate us because we have a problem with registration and uniforms,” Karimi said.
Karimi spoke at the Nakuru Jubilee office on Wednesday when he received defectors from Ubuntu People’s Forum, a party associated with Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui.
Jubilee office in Nakuru has been a beehive of activities since the President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the party's rejuvenation exercise.
Among those who joined Jubilee is 28-year-old former journalist Kelvin Migongo who is vying for Nakuru senators seat.
Migongo defected from Chama Cha Kazi.
Migingo said he made the decision to join Jubilee after Uhuru's speech at the party's NDC last week.
“When I heard the president speak, I decided to make the right decision, to join a party that is anchored on good leadership and democracy," Migongo said.
"Those who are outside should come and join us because we want to take Nakuru to the next level."
Gilgil ward MCA Jane Wangui Ngugi also said she will defend her seat on a Jubilee ticket.
“The president told us to come back to the party and 25 MCA from Nakuru have confirmed they will vie on a Jubilee ticket,” Wangui said.
