Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga on Monday took his campaigns to Kajiado where he asked voters to finish his State House business in round one.

Raila who led his presidential campaign team to the largely cosmopolitan county, rallied the region to back his presidential bid as the best bet to deliver a better future for Kenya.

“The bullet is the vote and the gun is the identification card, turn out in large numbers and vote for me knowing that the future of your children will be in safe hands,” he said.

The ODM leader asked voters to reject his opponents in the Kenya Kwanza whom he said, he will sweep in the elections like River Nile.

“This is River Nile, heading to Egypt, it doesn't matter who you are, you will be swept away,” Raila said.

The presidential candidate said the difference between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza is like day and night, urging voters to reject leaders with tainted records.

“All of us in the Azimio family have a will, a way and ability to change our country,” the ODM leader said.

Raila said his administration will provide affordable healthcare and introduce the social protection programme, which he said, will change the lives of people.

“We have started the third liberation of his country, we want jobs for our youths, after August 9, in 100 days, the cost of living will come down,” he said.

Raila dismantled Ruto's agenda for the country, telling voters that they should not take him (DP) seriously because he failed to deliver on his past promises.

He termed Ruto's bottom-up economic model as unrealistic and one meant to hoodwink Kenyans.

“They promised laptops, did they deliver? They are saying they will give billions to the youth and women, that is hot air,” Raila said.

He said his administration will deal with the high fuel prices.

Raila's running mate Martha Karua asked voters to ignore leaders in the Kenya Kwanza saying they cannot be trusted.

She said Raila's track record is evident right from when he worked as Prime Minister in Mwai Kibaki's government.

“When you have children, you know those whom you can't trust with money to a shop, those that cannot be trusted with money should not be trusted with the leadership of this country,” Karua said.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka hailed the Raila-Karua ticket saying it was the surest way of vanquishing Ruto in the August polls.

“We changed the team slightly so that we can win this election in round one. That is why we brought in Mama Martha,” Kalonzo said.

“It is now clear that there is no round two, we want to finish this in the first round so that Kenyans can go back to their businesses and start building the country.”
