Irma Sakwa, the mother and manager of Kenyan rapper Trio Mio has aired out her deep concerns regarding her son’s safety.

This comes after the rapper received threatening messages on social media.

His mother took to her social media to share the threatening tweet that had been sent to her son.

One of the threats was posted on Twitter on Wednesday, May 31 read:

"Trio Mio we will kill you. Why would you still donate money from us? We will kill you and we are not afraid of you,” the message read.

In the tweets that also contained a video, two unidentified people fired warnings to the rapper.

The ‘cheza kama wewe’ hitmaker’s mother called upon the DCI to investigate the issue.

She said as a mother, her heart was not at peace since her son was in great danger.

"Not long ago, my son got mugged at gunpoint and we are yet to get over the trauma. DCI, have you seen this? As a parent, I humbly request for action to be taken against these characters. My heart isn't at peace. May God protect my child," she said.

Many fans on social media expressed their support to Trio Mio and his family urging authorities to address the matter.

Those who reacted hoped that swift action will be taken to protect Trio Mio and deter such malicious activities in the future.
