After two years as Arsenal's private chef, Bernice Kariuki has called it quits.

Kariuki announced her departure through her social media handles on Sunday. She also expressed gratitude for working for the English Premier League club.

She praised the team for the 2022/2023 season, noting that it was humbling to work for the club.

"A final day flourish. Finished the season with a bang! Simply the best!!! Arsenal… Arsenal… Arsenal.. 2020/2023, the best special season ever. I hang my gloves as a very proud chef, it’s been an honour working for the best club in the whole world. I was truly humbled," she wrote.

Kariuki has been cooking for the team players and the management team for the past two years.

She also managed the daily well-being and nutrition of the team before and after matches as well as menus for the travelling team.

The Kenyan-born chef was raised in Jericho Estate, Nairobi, and joined Arsenal in mid-2021 during Mikel Arteta’s appointment as Arsenal’s manager.

Before joining Arsenal, she acquired considerable experience in the hospitality sector having been employed at high-end hotels in London.

She did not reveal her next move but thanked Kenyans for their support over the years.

"More blessings in my next job. It’s been like a royal dream, truly humbled. Thank you, especially my country Kenya," Kariuki wrote.
