Former Mukurwe-ini MP Kabando wa Kabando has told former cabinet secretaries that they are on their own. 

Kabando on Wednesday told the troubled CSs not to be delusional with lies from their communities that they will be supported. 

"Our word for Uhuru's CSs facing tribulations. You are on your own. Don't be lied to that your kinsmen are with you. Even your partners in the looting spree have deserted you!" Kabando said. 

He further urged the CSs who allegedly looted from the public to voluntarily surrender themselves. 

"Ask Matiang'i how many Omugusii were at DCI yesterday. If I were you, I would volunteer and surrender now," he said. 

The former Interior CS Fred Matiang'i is accused of spreading false information about an alleged police raid at his Karen residence on night of February 8, 2023.

Matiang'i on Tuesday appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations for grilling over the claims.

Another former CS  who could be in for trouble ex-Treasury CS Ukur Yatani.

This is after Controller of Budget Margaret Nyakang’o told a Parliamentary Committee that Yatani pressured her to approve payment of Sh15 billion.

Nyakang’o said she endured a lot of pressure and threats from Yatani to approve the withdrawal of funds without the requisite documentation.

The former CS has since denied the claims. 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua also said he will soon reveal PSs and CSs who looted public funds in the previous regime. 

“In the next few days, I will be releasing details of billions of shillings looted from the public coffers in the last three months of the former administration. I will announce the ministers and the PSs responsible so that Kenyans can know,” Gachagua said.
